چکیده
BackgroundEsophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) is a malignancy usually associated with smoking or alcohol consumption. The involvement of long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) in the regulation tumor development and metastasis through molecular mechanisms has been unveiled by accumulating evidence. However, function lncRNA SUMO1 Pseudogene 3 (lncSUMO1P3) essential to ESCC remains obscure.MethodsReverse transcription quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) Western blot (WB) analysis were done measure RNA protein levels. Functional assays carried out examine changes phenotype. Supported bioinformatics analysis, mechanism for assessment putative interactions among different genes.ResultsLlncSUMO1P3 was aberrantly up-regulated lines, lncSUMO1P3 deficiency could hamper proliferation, migration invasion as well epithelial-mesenchymaltransition (EMT) while overexpression led opposite consequences. LncSUMO1P3 competitively bind microRNA-486-5p (miR-486-5p) PHD finger 8 (PHF8) modulate CD151 expression. also verified regulate biological behaviors.ConclusionOur study revealed that lncSUMO1P3, cells, sponge miR-486-5p recruit PHF8 up-regulate CD151, thus influencing malignant behaviors cells.

miR-486-5p expression pattern in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, gastric cancer and its prognostic value
Micro RNA (miR)-486-5p is often aberrantly expressed in human cancers. The aim of this study was to identify the prognostic value of miR-486-5p expression in digestive system cancers. Tissue microarrays were constructed with 680 samples including 185 esophageal squamous cell carcinomas (ESCCs), 90 gastric adenocarcinomas (GCs), and 60 digestive system cancer tissues from 10 ESCC, 10 GC, 10 colo...
متن کاملRole of Brg1 in progression of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma
Objective(s): Epigenetic regulation of gene expression can be carried out through chromatin remodeling enzymes such as SWI/SNF. Brg1 also known as SMARCA4 is a catalytic subunit of SWI/SNF, which is necessary for MMPs expression. Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) are known as important player enzymes during tumor progression and metastasis. Aberrant epigenetic modification of chromatin should be...
متن کاملTELOMERASEACTIVITYIN IRANIAN PATIENTS WITH ESOPHAGEAL SQUAMOUS CELL CARCINOMA
Telomerase activation is one of the main pathways to immortalize cancer cells. In many kinds of cancer cells, this special reverse transcriptase stabilizes and elongates telomeres and prevents telomere erosion that naturally occurs in every cell division. Esophageal cancer is the fifth most frequent cause of cancer death worldwide, and is highly associated with alcohol, smoking, cultural ha...
متن کاملmiR-486-3p, miR-139-5p, and miR-21 as Biomarkers for the Detection of Oral Tongue Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Oral tongue squamous cell carcinoma (TSCC) is a complex disease with extensive genetic and epigenetic defects, including microRNA deregulation. The aims of the present study were to test the feasibility of performing the microRNA profiling analysis on archived TSCC specimens and to assess the potential diagnostic utility of the identified microRNA biomarkers for the detection of TSCC. TaqMan ar...
متن کاملRole of the Human Papillomavirus Infectio in Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Background and Objective: Human papillomavirus (HPV) is one of the possible etiologic factors in development of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). In this study we aimed to study the role of HPV in ESCC. Patients and Methods:In this study, 140 cases of ESCC were analyzed for the HPV DNA by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) using GP5+/GP6+ primers for L1 open reading frame (ORF) to am...
